Career arc

From ARM chipsets to agentic AI

My career began in embedded systems — video codec work on Qualcomm mobile chipsets and multimedia services for early feature phones. That low-level, resource-constrained discipline shaped how I still think about architecture today: every layer has a cost, and the best systems are the ones engineers can reason about under pressure.

From there I moved into iOS and Android app development across healthcare (WellDoc's HIPAA-compliant Diabetes Manager BlueStar), retail (Panera Bread), SaaS (DealWall), and field service (ConnectWise Mobile, 500K+ downloads) — before spending the last decade in fintech, first architecting the Finn App and Chase Mobile Banking at Virtusa, and since 2020 leading engineering for Chase Mobile & Online Banking as Vice President.

The most recent chapter has been integrating AI directly into the engineering workflow and the product itself — using GitHub Copilot, Claude, and AI agents to speed up delivery and to power personalized, privacy-preserving dashboard experiences for millions of Chase customers.

How I work

Three things I optimize for

Privacy-first, edge-native

Push logic to the edge and keep sensitive data close to the user — architecture decisions start from what the customer is trusting you with.

Reusable, not just working

Generic, tile-based dashboard models and modular DI patterns over one-off screens — components that outlive the feature that funded them.

Engineers who outgrow the role

Coaching and structured code review as a habit, not an event — a 100% promotion rate on my current team isn't an accident.
